Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, Monday mornings are a lot. You're trying to regroup from the weekend, get your head around the week ahead, and figure out what actually deserves your attention from a to-do list that was already too long last Friday. And somewhere in the back of your mind is that nagging question: is this the week you finally start the media outreach you've been meaning to do for... a while? This Week’s Quick PR Tip: Let AI Build Your Monday Morning Starting PointI just set up a weekly digest for a client that monitors the reporters, podcasts, Substacks, and traditional outlets covering their cause area. Every Monday, my team and I get a summary of what those people have been writing or talking about, plus a few ideas for pitch angles that might be relevant. We still go through it line by line to verify every idea and decide what's actually worth pursuing. But instead of staring at a blank page with unfocused overwhelm, we have something to start from. AI can surface the reporters, pitch angles, and patterns worth noticing. What it can't do is know which of those truly fit our client or which lead is worth chasing. That judgment call is still ours to make - every single week - which can still feel like a lot on its own. AI doesn't erase the overwhelm, but it does help us focus and get started faster. If you can't seem to get started with media outreach, this kind of system - or a partner to do it for you - might be worth considering. Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️ Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, You have difficult news to share with your community or customers, and every instinct is telling you to wait and hope no one notices. I've had two client conversations this month around this same thing. One had bad news to share with the people they serve and kept rewriting the message until it barely said anything. For another client, we were pitching a feel-good story, but they wanted us to...
Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️ Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, When was the last time something new got added to your overstuffed workload - today, maybe? My guess is your first thought wasn't "what can I let drop" - it was "how do I squeeze this in too?" I'm working with two comms leads living this every day. Both run their entire marketing and communications department for large nonprofits, solo. One's so buried in day-to-day tasks and requests she can't...
Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️ Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, My kids went back to school last week. 🙌 While my kids didn't want their frat house summer to end, it was time. IYKYK. Every morning since my son started kindergarten, I've said the same thing on the way out the door: "Have fun, work hard, and be kind." After a few weeks of hearing me say it to her brother, my daughter started asking me to "say me the words" when I dropped her off at preschool....
