Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, Your story just ran in the media, so you share the link with leadership and then... that's it. The team is happy, the moment passes, and the coverage sits on your press page where almost nobody who matters most ever finds it. The instinct is to chase the next media hit and get new people to discover you. Sure, that's a real win - it's just not the only one. This Week’s Quick PR Tip: Make Sure the People Who Matter Most See the Story TooAwareness with new folks is obviously great, but the donors, funders, partners, and customers who already know you and support you also need to see the coverage. They're already invested in you, and they'll be excited to see the organization or brand they support is being featured in the press. Plus, media coverage is essentially a third-party endorsement, which gives them reason to trust that their support is well placed. Which leads to greater trust, loyalty, and even more support. That's the ultimate win. Share the article in your next donor update. Post on social where your customers and partners already follow you. Bring it up on your next call with a funder who's still deciding. It's a way of showing the people already in your corner that the rest of the world is noticing too. The story's job isn't finished the day it publishes. Do you have a process for sharing coverage after it runs? Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️ Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, You have difficult news to share with your community or customers, and every instinct is telling you to wait and hope no one notices. I've had two client conversations this month around this same thing. One had bad news to share with the people they serve and kept rewriting the message until it barely said anything. For another client, we were pitching a feel-good story, but they wanted us to...
Monday Morning PR Minute ⏱️ Your weekly dose of PR inspiration | Read time: 1 minute | Hi Reader, When was the last time something new got added to your overstuffed workload - today, maybe? My guess is your first thought wasn't "what can I let drop" - it was "how do I squeeze this in too?" I'm working with two comms leads living this every day. Both run their entire marketing and communications department for large nonprofits, solo. One's so buried in day-to-day tasks and requests she can't...

IYKYK. Every morning since my son started kindergarten, I've said the same thing on the way out the door: "Have fun, work hard, and be kind." After a few weeks of hearing me say it to her brother, my daughter started asking me to "say me the words" when I dropped her off at preschool....
